I love teaching chemistry, and my goals are always aligned with doing what is best for students. Through connecting with many educators on my social media platforms, it became clear that by helping teachers I am helping more and more students! It has been amazing to share my enthusiasm and experiences on so many different platforms. In fact, the very reason I decided to start my YouTube channel was to provide free and easily accessible professional development to science teachers.

The First Year Teacher
Participating in The First Year Teacher professional development course was both affirming and enlightening. As a second-year teacher, I found tremendous value in revisiting foundational aspects of teaching with a more experienced lens. The sections on developing a guiding philosophy and establishing classroom norms stood out as especially impactful, helping me refine the intentionality behind my classroom culture. Additionally, the focus on parent communication and preparing for Back-to-School Night offered practical strategies that I plan to carry forward.
10 Ways to Ditch Those Worksheets!!
I love the STEM-specific that Karen hosts and the beautiful templates that she provides, along with her eye for detail to help type-A teachers like myself make sure that everything is aligned, the same size, and aesthetically pleasing! My favorite strategy from this PD is probably the FRQ speed dating. We don't have a class set of whiteboards, but I may have students write on our lab tables with dry erase markers or the chalkboard paint pens, which will add an element of fun. I'm excited to use several of these strategies in future units to increase the amount of discussion and collaboration in the classroom.
